We are arranging several events in the near future, and we want to invite you to join us in exploring your senses with culinary journeys at Svartisen.

One of the many things we ask people visiting the area is ”what is the purpose of Svart?”. And the difference between the answer before and after.

Visiting the raw, rustic, primal forrests and feeling the rush of ice water against their skin – is quite large. We want to share the experience with you, and Team Svart is therefore arranging several trips in the near future to bring you closer to your origin – nature itself.

Four events planned for 2024

Each season offer its unique culinary journey, providing the foundation for what will be developed into the hotel’s offerings when it opens. 

February 2024 Culinary journey

In February 2024, during the winter season, when the sun never rises, providing the canvas for the Northern Lights to regularly grace us with its presence.

May 2024 Culinary journey

In May 2024 as we emerge from the darkness and the sun peeks out, the surrounding landscape springs back to life. Snow and ice are still present in many places, making the spring experience truly unique.

July 2024 Culinary journey

In July 2024, when the sun never sets and the midnight sun can be observed, we'll host the summer version. You can bask in the pleasant warmth and enjoy incredible late-night excursions. The glacier treks during this time are magical.

September 2024 Culinary journey

The final event will be towards the end of September or early October 2024, a time that can bring changeable weather with many beautiful days. The colours change and the landscape takes on a dramatic hue against the backdrop of the towering, dark mountains plunging into the sea. Forest and countryside walks, as well as fishing, are enchanting during this season.
